1. Agreement to Terms

By using the NineLives App, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, discontinue use immediately.

2. About the App

NineLives helps cat owners organize wellness information and access general educational insights. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe for any condition. The App is not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

3. AI and Medical Disclaimer

The App includes AI features that generate generalized wellness content. The AI assistant is not a licensed veterinarian and does not provide medical advice. All outputs are for informational purposes only.Use of the App does not create a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) under any state veterinary practice act. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for professional evaluation or treatment.If your pet shows signs of illness or distress, seek immediate veterinary attention.

4. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not use NineLives to impersonate veterinarians, solicit medical diagnoses, or distribute unverified medical information. Automated data scraping or misuse of AI outputs is prohibited.

5. Ownership and License

We retain all intellectual property rights in the App. You receive a limited, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

6. Limitation of Liability

The App and AI features are provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Software People Love, Playpen Games, Inc., and their affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including reliance on AI outputs or loss of data.Your exclusive remedy is limited to the amount paid to us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

7. Regulatory Compliance and No VCPR

We do not practice veterinary medicine as defined by any state Veterinary Practice Act (e.g., Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code §4826; Tex. Occ. Code §801.002; N.Y. Educ. Law §6712). The App provides general information for educational use only and does not diagnose or prescribe. Use does not establish a VCPR.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Software People Love and its affiliates from any claims or damages arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9. Governing Law and Arbitration

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflicts of law rules. All disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association in Delaware.

10. Insurance

We maintain Technology Errors & Omissions, General Liability, and Cyber Liability insurance. Users are encouraged to maintain their own device and data protection coverage.
